Imagine a world without information and communication technology

World without information and communication technology

Can anyone imagine a world without communication? For most of people, communication is something that comes naturally and binds them together so they can live, work, share ideas together or create something that is unique and priceless. Today life is impossible without communication, and we should be concentrated to make communication more efficient and more natural. We are living in a world full of diversity and we must find a formula how to lower the communication barrier that is present. It is important for us is to understand that communication can mean everything and it’s not restricted to the use of our language only. This essay will try to discuss how communication can be affected if people misinterpret the meaning, and also how non-verbal and intercultural communication can engage developing impressions that we make on other people.

Our everyday life has changed immensely due to the introduction of technology. It has become faster, dynamic, and more comfortable. It is hard to imagine our lives without the use of technology. I think many of you would agree that we are relying upon our smartphones and tablets as our sole means of communication with the rest of the world.
Technology enriches our lives but on the other hand, in pursuit of ease, we have become over-reliant on technology so much so that we cannot even imagine living without it. This obsession and abuse of technology in our lives has left us weak and vulnerable. No doubt, the advancements brought us unprecedented physical, medical and other benefits, but this over-reliance will prove costly for the survival of the human race.

Nowadays, people cannot live without these means of communication -- laptops, tablets, or smartphones. Besides, what would become of our world if all technological advances were gone? I think that our lives would be very different. People would turn to read books because it would be one of the only sources of knowledge. We would have to make an appointment in advance with no possibility of canceling it on short notice. We would not be overwhelmed by the flow of information from the internet or television; we would get it only from newspapers. Maybe our lives would be more difficult but certainly not worse.
